3rd Blantyre Scouts were guests invited along to the Western Desert Recce Group HQ at High Blantyre this week.
A very successful visit as 15 Scouts were given an interesting talk about WW2 and a tour of the garages and museum items. Pete Scally who gave the talk was assisted by Don Helsdon, Tom Wallace, Neil D Lennon and Gary Wallace. The Scouts learned about rations, spys and equipment from that time, and after a snack they left knowing a bit more about the war and its participants.
