Tomorrow, Saturday 25th October is a very special day for High Blantyre Primary. The school is celebrating their 150th Anniversary!
All former pupils, families and friends, are invited along to the open day at High Blantyre Primary School, Broompark Road, Blantyre on Saturday the 25th October from Midday 12 until 2pm. Come along and help celebrate 150 years of High Blantyre Primary School!
Our sister website Blantyre Project and many individuals have provided many dozens of old photographs from as far back as the 1880’s right up to the present day! You’re invited to have a walk around the school and catch up with old friends over a coffee in the dining hall. Guest speaker Paul Veverka will be speaking about the history of the school and what life was like for schoolchildren in previous centuries. This talk begins at 1pm and promises to be interesting and informative.
Meantime, Happy Anniversary to the school! May all pupils, families, teachers and invited guests have a wonderful day.
