High Blantyre Primary celebrated its 150th Anniversary on October 25th with over 120 attendees, including current and former pupils and teachers. The event featured a history talk, performances, and guided tours by students. Photos depicting the school’s history were displayed, and future school shows were announced, showcasing student talents.

Charlie Stevenson, a P1 pupil at High Blantyre Primary School, won an award for his creative tartan design during Eco Schools week. His design features colors representing local plants, the school uniform, the nearby river, flowers, and the school building. Keep Scotland Beautiful praised the creativity displayed by students.
High Blantyre Primary School dedicated last week to promoting health and wellbeing for students and staff. Activities included sports taster sessions, walking alpacas, therapy ponies, massages, healthy snacks prepared by Chef Robert, and a visit from Silver Olympic Medal Winner Hammie McMillan, creating an enjoyable experience for everyone.
A brilliant Christmas Fayre to look forward to. This time the turn of High Blantyre Primary School, Broompark Road, Blantyre. Fun begins at 6pm on Thursday 28th November 24 for 2 hours until 8pm. With tombolas, raffles, Santa’s grotto, loads of stalls and games to look forward to. All welcome. See you there!
