High Blantyre Primary School is amongst nine schools in Lanarkshire to be given a prestigious eco schools flag from charitable organisation, “Keep Scotland Beautiful.”
The award recognises schools and nurseries committed to the make environmental improvements through actively engaging all pupils with a variety of environmental tasks. This includes litter picks, surveys amongst other activities.
Representative, Catherine Gee added: “I’d like to congratulate the Eco-Committee, pupils and staff at each of these schools, who have stepped up to play their part in combatting climate change and achieve their Green Flag Award.
Well done to all pupils, volunteers and teachers who made this possible!
