Here’s hoping the whole community can get behind and support the various fantastic Christmas Fayres planned by local schools and churches. There’s PLENTY on in the coming weeks if you fancy browsing around festive stalls and supporting the community.
First up this Friday 25th November from 6pm until 8pm is St Joseph’s Primary Christmas Fayre. Entry is £1 for adults and kids free.
The next day on Saturday 26th November from 2pm until 4pm is Blantyre Old Parish Church Christmas Fayre. Adults £2 entry, children free. There’s plenty going on including a visit from Santa!
Thursday 1st December is the turn of High Blantyre Primary School from 6pm – 8pm. Look out for the snow globe Photo Booth!
The following week on Thursday 8th December is the David Livingstone Memorial Primary School Fayre from 6pm to 8pm. Adults entry £2, kids go free.
On Sunday 11th December, David Livingstone Birthplace is hosting a Christmas Market. More details on this nearer the time.
Then on Saturday, 17th December , Santa himself will come to Glen Travel for the annual Blantyre Toy Drive where in conjunction with ourselves, Blantyre Telegraph, hundreds of Blantyre children are invited along to meet the big man and receive a nice gift.
If you know of other Fayres and Festive events in Blantyre which could be be added to the list (maybe other schools, nurseries, businesses, charities or organisations?) please do let us know in the comments below.
