Some photos of the storm damage down the Calder. (Can only imagine how many more trees have fallen down there!) Also a few other local places.
There’s a large tree down at the bottom of the Avenue at Milheugh (leading down from Hunthill Road). More trees are down at Greenhall, including some which have damaged the nature trails, fences and steps. Some paths are also inaccessible due to trees now blocking them.
Further south there’s a tree fallen blocking the lane leading to the red ash park, just off Hunthill Road. The tree blocking the Expressway is now cleared. Please take care if you’re out walking this weekend. Some high winds, though not as strong as today are expected to continue throughout the weekend.
