SpringClean19 Campaign Launch

The busy bees from environmental group, ‘Bonnie Blantyre’ were recently joined by the eco-committees from High Blantyre Primary and St John the Baptist Primary of Uddingston to launch the national SpringClean19 campaign!

The 2019 campaign is this year partnered with Scotmid Co-operative though the overall event is organised by Keep Scotland Beautiful.

Bonnie Blantyre also joined forces with nearby ‘Uddingston Pride’ and ‘Brighter Bothwell’. Residents, businesses, schools and community groups throughout the area are encouraged to arrange their own clean-up events to remove rubbish from streets, parks and public areas.

Susan from Bonnie Blantyre added, “A special thank you to Uddingston Pride, Brighter Bothwell and North Lanarkshire Council for the support and help with organising our launch. We were also joined by High Blantyre Primary School and St John the Baptist Primary.”

  1. The Dandy has become a fly tipping area which is really sad as it’s a lovely walk. Do to being inaccessible by car it must be local residents who are using it which is even worse..
