Police Appeal after Railway Assault

Police Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a woman was assaulted on the Blantyre train from Dalmuir to Larkhall.

At around 7.15pm on Monday 3 November, a man assaulted a woman by attempting to choke her.

He then got off of the train at Blantyre railway station. A man in his 30s was later arrested in connection by officers on suspicion of domestic assault.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 629 of 3 November.
