Some great news for pupils of St John Ogilvie High School who live in Blantyre and Calderglen!
JMB Travel will be introducing a brand new school day only bus service ‘S2’ from next Monday, 1st December 2025. It follows a loop beginning around Calderview Avenue / Caldergrove, travelling through central Blantyre, and finishing at St John Ogilvie. The return route follows the same general path in reverse.
The route includes key areas such as:
- Morven Avenue
- Carlowie Avenue
- Calderglen Avenue
- Blantyre Farm Road
- Station Road
- Glasgow Road
- Burnbank Road
A child single fare is £1.60, and U22 Concession Cards are valid. Following recent cuts to school bus services for local children by South Lanarkshire Council, this new route is welcome news for many families.
