Skywatchers across the UK can catch April’s beautiful Pink Moon lighting up the night sky this evening (1st April). Despite the name, it won’t actually appear pink — it’s named after early spring wildflowers that bloom at this time of year 🌸
However, it should have a reddish hint.
If the skies stay clear, the full moon will look especially bright just after sunset and as it rises above the horizon. It’s a perfect excuse for a quick evening walk, a photo opportunity, or simply a moment to pause and enjoy the view.
