Broompark Road in Blantyre will be closed for three days starting Monday, July 13, 2026, due to Scottish Water’s work outside Carrigans and the entrance to High Blantyre Primary School. Drivers should expect disruptions, but adjacent businesses will remain open during the construction.
Ally Bally Bee nursery on Broompark Road is reopening on the 15th July. They currently have spaces available for children aged 6 weeks to after school along with a holiday club. Complaints about inconsiderate parking near the junction of Main Street and Broompark Road have been upheld with the solution earlier this week of double yellow lines.
