Battling against discarded gum

South Lanarkshire Council will receive a £27,058 grant from the Chewing Gum Task Force to aid in removing discarded chewing gum from public streets. This funding supports their It’s Your Place campaign aimed at tackling litter and promotes responsible disposal, reducing the environmental impact of chewing gum litter.

Council workers are taking to the streets this month to clean up discarded chewing gum blighting pavements across South Lanarkshire.
