A 2.9-magnitude earthquake occurred in Lochaber, western Scotland, near Kinloch, about 30km northwest of Oban. Recorded by the British Geological Survey, the tremor was felt in surrounding areas without causing damage. Reports came from within a 40km radius, with witnesses describing shaking lasting about three seconds.
