Dominic McLaughlin, a student from Cambuslang’s Performance Academy, has landed the role of Harry Potter in HBO’s adaptation of JK Rowling’s series, beating out over 30,000 other actors. His co-stars include Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley. Filming starts later this year.
