Blantyre Councillor Bert Thomson has been confirmed as the Provost and Councillor Celine Handibode as the Depute Provost for South Lanarkshire following a Council meeting. Thomson, who previously served as Interim Provost, aims to honor his predecessor Margaret Cooper’s legacy while fulfilling civic duties alongside Handibode.
