You may have noticed a brand new building rising out of the ground at Broompark Road. I’m referring of course to the new pub and restaurant “Carrigan’s Blantyre” which is progressing well.
Business owner Barry Carrigan, speaking to Blantyre Telegraph earlier this week told us, “We’re delighted with the progress of our new development. It’s really starting to take shape and all the builders are back after their summer holidays. We’re still hoping to have phase one opened before the end of the year and have managed to start recruiting a team of talented staff who will be working in the new development. Most of them have started training with us in our Hamilton restaurant.”
The photos show the frame of the new Carrigan’s building as it is currently, as the push continues to make it watertight. Large open spaces inside give a feeling of our accommodating the building is going to be for customers. It certainly is shaping up to look something quite spectacular, with the existing pub completely dwarfed by comparison. We hope to bring you more updates on this project a little later this year.
