Kilbryde Hospice is celebrating following the success of its Ladies Lunch after the event raised a fantastic £21,000 on the night. The lunch was held at the Macdonald Crutherland House Hotel in East Kilbride was hosted by Edward Reid of Britain’s Got Talent fame and featured performances from the Nicholas McDonald, Soul Town and Rayanne McHugh with 265 ladies in attendance.
This year the hospice decided to go for a ‘Mad Hatter’s Tea Party’ theme and The Blue Parrot Company kindly provided the décor for the event including statues of Tweedledum and Tweedledee.
The money was raised through a variety of activities, including ticket sales, donations, a raffle and auction. The auction featured some amazing prizes including a 30 minute set from Nicholas McDonald at a private party or in the comfort of your own home.

Chloe Martin, Community and Events Fundraiser, at the hospice, said, “Thank you so much to everyone who either attended our Mad Hatter themed Ladies Lunch, helped to sell tables, donated a prize for the raffle, and auction. On behalf of the hospice a special thanks to all of amazing volunteers who gave their time to help on the day. We really wouldn’t be able to continue to offer the support and care we do without them. We would also like to express our thanks to the Blue Parrot Company and Alexander Fraser Photography.”
