At around 8.10pm this evening, a young Blantyre lady was knocked to the ground in the ‘Keystore’ convenience shop, Auchinraith Road when an attempted theft, went wrong.

Two males, wearing dark track suits thought to be in their late teens or early 20’s had lifted a box of alcohol and were trying to make their way out the store without paying.

The shopkeeper bravely confronted the thieves and in the following struggle, the box of alcohol was thrown in the air. As they fled, the cowards pushed an innocent lady who was at the entrance. The two males then ran off towards the Timber Houses, empty handed and with CCTV existing, find themselves tonight wanted by police.
