Three Peaks Challenge
Local young man, Conor Mcglinchey is aiming high next month! In fact it doesn’t get much higher for anybody in the UK.
Incredibly, Conor is attempting to complete the THREE national peaks challenge which involves summiting Ben Nevis (Scotland), Snowdon (Wales) AND Scafell Pike (England) within 24 hours. Yes, you read that right!
Conor will start his charitable endeavour with the ascent of Ben Nevis at 6am on the 3rd of October and finish Snowdon at 6am on the 4th October. These are the highest mountains in each country on mainland UK and the total climb is 3,064 metres, covering a distance of 37km.
He added, “I’ve decided to raise some money at the same time for CLIC Sargent, which is a children’s cancer charity that supports young people and their families who are dealing with cancer.”
