Priestfield Hall, High Blantyre
People are invited back to Priestfield Hall, High Blantyre at 3.30pm today, Sunday 11th November 2018 to hear Gordon Cook’s presentation about Auchentibber history.
The event marking 100 years since the end of WW1 is being celebrated in true style, with the Community Council doing a fantastic job in decorating the hall. Poppies coloured in by Blantyre residents including all the local schools adorn the hall and outside, a touching sentiment. The hall has never looked so good!
People will be treated to a free history presentation about Auchentibber, with teas/coffees and baking, as well as free quality, literature handouts.
The event takes place immediately after the TWO remembrance day services, which are being held at the same time at 3pm at High Blantyre Cemetery and Auchentibber War Memorial.
Please DO come along. This is a special day with people of all ages welcome. It’s YOUR chance to show your respect for those courageous soldiers who bravely fought and gave their lives for us all.
