WOW! Blantyre Toy Drive 2018 has now ended and it’s been another monumental success! Just look at this lot!
If you recall we teamed up with local Travel Agents, Glen Travel asking people to donate a new toy up to the value of £5 or to donate money to buy toys. What a response we got throughout October and November! You guys are simply amazing! People have been handing in toys almost every day and several financial donations were received also.
Thanks to your efforts, we’ll be giving this fantastic lot to Blantyre Community Committee for the festive event this Sunday at Stonefield Public Park! Santa will be giving out these toys worth £5 to children visiting his grotto, meaning they’ll not only see Santa but receive a toy worth more than double the small cost of entry! Guaranteed to put a smile on children’s faces!
A huge thank you to everybody who donated. Blantyre Toy Drive will return again next year.
The annual Blantyre toy drive also means the committee don’t have to spend their own fundraising monies on this aspect of the event, permitting more to be spent on decoration, added attractions and freebies for kids, benefiting all visitors.
