Cars and Homes in Hardie Street, Blantyre were targeted by thieves this week.
In the early hours of Wednesday 13th February 2019, two cars were broken into in Hardie Street. One at the Craig Street end and the other near the junction of Victoria Street.
Door handles were also tried and attempts made to enter a garage. The thieves seemed undeterred by security lights and car alarms.
When the car damage was discovered, police were called for. Blantyre Telegraph has learned that fingerprints were found and taken and DNA samples obtained from a bloody tissue.
A reminder to keep doors and windows locked and not to leave valuables of any sort in vehicles overnight.
