Blantyre Oscars 2019 – The Nominees

Blantyre Telegraph is excited and proud to announce the official list of all deserving nominees for this years ‘Blantyre Oscars 2019‘.

Celebrating everything that’s great about Blantyre, the popular Charity Oscars awards, now in their 3rd year aims to recognise notable organisations and incredible individuals who have accomplished something remarkable to the benefit of all our community. The glitzy, red carpet event is once again expected to sell out fast and hopes to raise money for the Summer Gala and the Beatson cancer charity.

And what a line up this year! So many deserving nominees, which YOU will soon be able to vote for to choose your winners! Here’s the full line up of this years nominees in no particular order, in 5 different categories:

Paul Veverka, owner of Blantyre Telegraph and event host added, “I’ve been busy working hard in spare time since December to create 15 amazing little nomination videos, which people will shortly be able to vote on. The videos with the most public votes will win each category, with one overall winner selected also! Votes will be hidden and only revealed at the Oscars Ceremony! All nominees and a plus one, have free tickets.”

He continued, “The public chose who they wanted to be nominated this year and I’ve been bowled over by the accomplishments of the nominees. Many local companies have kindly offered sponsorship of the event, including Glen Travel as overall sponsor, which lets more money be raised at the actual event. In a great venue at Carrigans, 7 celebs have kindly recorded messages for the winners and I’ve a few other surprises lined up! It promises to be an amazing awards and party night for all attending. A real highlight and feel good event for Blantyre!”
