Timber! The large tree to the west of the old Kirkyard in High Blantyre was completely felled yesterday Tuesday 12 March 2019.
The 150 year old tree had a dangerous lean and was carefully removed, during a brief spell of the car park being closed off. The tree was visible from Main Street, just in case you’re wondering why it all looks slightly different.
The nearby church hope to use some of the wood to make a seating bench.
