Stonefield Park
A police incident is currently underway at Stonefield Public Park, Low Blantyre.
Police descended upon the park during mid afternoon today Saturday 16 March 2019, positioning police vehicles to close off the entrances at Station Road and John Street. They have since taped off parts of the park.
We cannot speculate as to the nature of the incident until official sources can confirm, despite several messages received. Clearly a serious incident has taken place and we’ll endeavour to bring you more in due course.
Meantime, perhaps best to avoid the area.
