Funding Boost for Community Links

Community Links (South Lanarkshire) have successfully received a National Lottery award from The National Lottery Community Fund which will help support their activities across South Lanarkshire.

The National Lottery Community Fund Scotland is focused on helping communities across Scotland thrive through its five year £250m funding scheme as well as small grants programme, National Lottery Awards for All Scotland.

The award of £32,760 will allow Community Links to continue ongoing Community Development work in targeted areas of Hamilton and support the community by building local capacity. This will also help make current community-led services more sustainable by supporting the development of current volunteers and working to recruit new ones.

Since March 2007 The National Lottery Community Fund in Scotland has taken devolved decision on National Lottery spending.

The National Lottery Community Fund Scotland Chair, Maureen McGinn, said: “I am delighted that Community Links (South Lanarkshire) has been successful in securing a grant from The National Lottery Community Fund. The award will make a big difference where it is needed most and I wish Community Links every success as it goes on to develop and expand its project for the benefit of their local community.”
