Roadworks are currently ongoing on Glasgow Road at the Roundabout near Asda. Four way lights are set up with restrictions on traffic on turning at the junction. Some delays are likely with tailbacks at peak times and disruption when exiting the petrol station.
Phase one – approximately one week, expected to finish this weekend.
Phase two – approximately two weeksFrom Monday 3 June SGN will be working in Glasgow Road progressing west from the Sports Centre to the Care Home at Victoria Street. Their work will be carried out on the grass verge therefore no traffic management is required for this phase. SGN will then close the project and return when the schools close for summer break, working further up the road in due course.
It would appear we’ll all need to get used to some disruption on Glasgow Road over the coming weeks. Best avoid meantime if you can.
