Doesn’t a Community Gala just bring out the best in people! We’ve seen something very special happen this year as part of Blantyre Summer Gala celebrations and thought we’d share it here. People out decorating their homes with bunting, banners and flags, an old tradition brought back, just like many of us did, back in the day!
It’s not just the parents of the lucky 10 Gala children though. No. Incredibly it’s their kind hearted neighbours too, all taking part in making their whole streets look incredible! Celebrating not just the Gala weekend, but making children in the local area, feel even more special.
Good luck to all the gala kids tomorrow who will be picked up in stretch limos and taken to open the fun day at McAulty (Stonefield) Public Park.
