May 2019 Fundraising

Our fundraising totals for end of May are now in and another very respectable month!

We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that during May, Blantyre Telegraph has raised £292 towards local good causes! Our fundraising now reaches a new whopping total of £25,107 for 137 local good causes to date since 2015!

Fundraising was from various sources:

£154.00 from the sales of Edition 2 (May) Magazine.
£62.00 from Magazine Advertising.
£12.00 from public subscriptions on our website.
£0.00 from public donations on our website.
£52.00 from the sale of Blantyre Project books.
£12.00 from Website Advertising. 

Every penny raised goes entirely to local good causes, as always. We’re pleased to announce, this has been spent as follows:

£150.00 to Volunteer Action Group ‘Blantyre Futures’ to establish a permanent website, Colour promotional flyers and facebook awareness advert campaign.
£72.00 to Blantyre Community Committee for Facebook Adverts to promote the Gala Festivities.
£40.00 to Terminal One Youth Centre for craft materials for the kids to create a reusable entrance to the Gala.
£30.00 donation to Stephen McDade who is taking part in a local charity boxing fundraiser. 

How to get Involved supporting the Community

There are several fantastic ways you can support Blantyre Telegraph.

  1. You can now support us offline by buying our monthly magazine. At only £1.99, the entire sales of that publication will go entirely to local good causes and can be bought at Jinxy’s High Blantyre, Carrigans at Broompark Road, at Family Shopper on Main Street and at Strachan Craft Butchers on Glasgow Road.
