Calderglen Thistle, a football team in Blantyre have recently started up an amateur team to join the kids age groups already going within the club.
This will provide a pathway from grassroots to amateur and when the time comes for when kids are old enough & the boys club status ends there will be an amateur team waiting on them .
Paul at Calderglen Thistle told us, “As it’s a brand new team we’re on look out for sponsors and are also running a bonus ball . Way this works is a ball costs £20 , numbers between 1-59 , pick a ball , if ure ball is the bonus ball on the lotto draw date we pick , you will win a cash prize of £200 & the name of a business or charity will go on our training kit for the season .
