Not Blantyre but perhaps still of interest. Monterey Jack’s restaurant and bar will take over the former Di Maggio’s building in Gateside Street.
The move will create 30 new jobs. The franchise, which has other branches all over Scotland, specialises in gourmet burgers, handmade pizzas and premium cocktails.
Monterey Jack’s Regional Director Richard Fergie said,“We are so pleased to be expanding the Monterey Jack’s family to include our latest franchise on Gateside Street, Hamilton, offering the local community the opportunity to experience what Scotland’s fastest growing bar and restaurant brand has to offer. If you haven’t stepped inside a Monterey Jack’s before, you are in for a Wild West treat.”
Work has already started transforming the interior of the building.
