September Slimdown Challenge 2019 – Day 1

It’s launch day of our brand new, annual “September Slimdown Challenge!”

Dozens of you have pledged to take part to try to lose some pounds over the next 4 weeks. This is the first day of the challenge. An important day, as you need to weigh yourself today, and privately record your starting weight. (You don’t post that online…keep it to yourself!). This is the weight you’ll measure your progress against.

We’re using STONES and POUNDS lost for the weight challenge (not Kg).

Next Monday, will be the first of 4 ‘weigh in’ dates, seeing how you’re progressing, where we’ll be asking you to post how many pounds you’ve lost in the week.

Getting Healthier & Fitter

The challenge aims to get as many people in Blantyre a little healthier and fitter. Shedding a few pounds can make a huge difference to your health if, like us, you’re a little overweight. We’ll be taking part in the challenge too!!

What do you need to do?

1. Eat a little healthier than usual, with less calories and
2. Faithfully do at least 10 minutes exercise per day.

That’s it! (Exercise could be something simple like walking the dog, going for a gentle walk, swimming, getting off at an earlier bus stop, a run or something as simple as walking on the school run)

So, LETS GET STARTED! Go weigh yourself today. Write it down, keep it on your phone or computer and we’ll be following up next Monday!
