Do you remember last year when local takeaway, Mr Chef funded the construction of a bakery in Uganda? The aim was to provide free bread for orphans. Well, one year on….what a success this has been!
Last year this project was a truly proud and historical moment for all involved, the first of its kind initiated by any Scottish takeaway.
‘Mr Chef Uddingston and The Arshad family were humbled to be able to help with a wonderful initiative which provided daily free bread products to Orphans and people in need in Uganda.
The ‘Mr Chef’ business and its owners paid for this completely out their own pockets as they feel everybody has a responsibility to do a part for humanity.
The ‘Well Foundation’ was the charity partner who helped construct the building abroad. Over the last 4 years, Mr Chef and family have donated the best part of £20,000 for several other projects too.
