It is with sadness we hear of the passing of local lady Margaret O’Brien.
Margaret incredibly celebrated her 100th birthday a few months ago last June. She lived in Berkley Drive and had moved to Blantyre from Ireland when she was about 8 years old.
She sadly passed away on the morning of Thursday 18th October, aged 100. She was such a well known wee lady and her family have been in touch with funeral details.
It’s on Thursday, 24th October at 10am at St Joseph’s Chapel on Glasgow Road.
What a wonderful, long life Margaret lived and it’s clear from messages we’ve received this week, just how much she’ll be missed. Our thoughts go out to all Margaret’s family and friends at this sad time.
