The women of High Blantyre Ladies Guild were thrilled this evening, Thursday 24 October 2019 when we popped in to see them, with a nice surprise.
Just before their guild night got underway in the June Stewart Centre in High Blantyre, we were delighted to hand over £200 in cash which is going towards their forthcoming Christmas party.
There are 38 ladies in the guild from 50 year olds to those in the 80’s. They meet on Thursday evenings, sharing activities, friendship and fellowship. As our picture shows, they were very appreciative and completely surprised.
The donation was kindly made possible, thanks to an anonymous donation sent to us earlier in the week, forming just one of several we’re arranging for local organisations in the coming days.
We’re sure this will go some way to a most enjoyable festive party.
