Unfortunately the year hasn’t got off to a good start with a works van broken into last night.
Sometime during the early hours of this morning, Saturday 4th January 2020, a white transit van was broken into at Craig Street. They thief or thieves removed a tool bag and emptied it at the top of the street, later dumping the bag. A vigilant neighbour chapped the door of the family to let them know he had noticed the van was open and to inform them that the empty bag was nearby.
Thankfully, the van did not contain the full set of tools, but the theft left damage and angered the owners, tools having to be replaced.
