The Scotmid on Stonefield Road, Blantyre was robbed last night.
Around 8.30pm last night, Saturday 8th February 2020, a masked man entered the Scotmid store at 10 Stonefield Rd (near Old Original).
Frightening the staff, he demanded cash, cigarettes and alcohol. He then left, running off with a 3 figure sum towards Calder Street.
The 2 staff members who were on duty are very shaken but unhurt. This post serves to raise awareness in the local community and especially for retailers. Police were called and are investigating. We hope staff recover from their shocking ordeal quickly.
