We have learned this afternoon that University of West of Scotland (UWS) has asked its students not to attend their campuses from Monday 16th March until further notice.
The Lanarkshire campus is High Blantyre based and the measures are entirely precautionary against the fluid situation relating to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Learning modules are going to be available to students for the final weeks of their term. The University commented, “We’ve taken this decision with students wellbeing as a priority and wish to assure students their assessments will not be disadvantaged in any way.”
Emails are going out to students this afternoon.
