Remember Etta Morrison and her niece Shirley Anne who were knitting these extension clasps for careworkers facemasks? Well, the ladies are wondering what other organisations, nurses, doctors or carers need these?
The knitted clasps relieve the pressure tension caused by elastic on face masks when worn for a long time.
What started off knitting a few to kindly help carers out has grown massively and in recent weeks, incredibly Etta and Shirley have delivered nearly 700 free clasps to homes, hospitals and hospices! The whole endeavour greatly appreciated. She told us this evening, “We will continue to do these, until our buttons run out. We still have a few hundred left”
