With all of us spending more time at home due to COVID-19 the Fire Service has recognised a general increase in domestic house fires across Scotland and sadly a rise in fire related fatalities (though not necessarily South Lanarkshire).
Scottish Fire & Rescue Service, (SFRS) have been working closely with VASLAN to highlight the members of our communities through your group who may benefit from advice and information to help stop the rise in house fires. We would like to give them the opportunity to have SFRS make contact with them to deliver home safety advice over the telephone and if they wish, a Home Fire Safety Visit (HFSV) to be carried out once full community safety engagements commences.
