Spring has ended, Summer is here. The summer solstice, otherwise known as the longest day of the year is here!
Tonight at 10.43pm, the summer solstice will take us officially from Spring into Summer although seasonally, it’s often known as midsummer. It means from tomorrow, the nights will begin to get darker earlier again, tonight being the lightest evening of the year.
While festivals, barbecues and beach holidays are often enjoyed throughout the warmer months, many of this year’s summer events and activities will not be possible due to the global coronavirus pandemic. The year seems to be flying past at a pace.
However, the sun is shining today. It looks like summer. Get out there and enjoy it.
