Break ins and theft from properties has seemed quieter in Blantyre during lockdown, so how disappointing now to see a return to lowlife nighttime prowlers out to steal.
We’ve unfortunately received a couple of messages today from different people who had items stolen overnight last night. The thefts appear to have taken place in and around the Park Lane area of Blantyre, just off Station Road.
One couple had many solar lights stolen from their garden, something they had been collecting and adding to throughout summer to brighten the place up a little. Another elderly man nearby noticed his locked storage box in the garden had been broken into. Missing was a tent and tools.
The residents contacted police and asked for this post to help raise awareness.
