We’re saddened to learn about the death of Blantyre woman, Mary Frew, who tragically passed away recently, age only 59.
Mary was well known and much loved. She was employed in the Parkville kitchen for a number of years and her constant smile would light up the room. Kind and hard working, she loved a party night and her untimely death has left the Coatshill community and beyond, shattered.
Her family have released funeral arrangements.
The funeral takes place tomorrow, Friday 7th August. Leaving Smiths Funeral Parlour at 10.30am going via Hunthill Road onto Glasgow Road past the Parkville, up Victoria Street and to the Congregational Church.
We know the Community will want to show their respects. There will be a piper and we’re told Mary would have loved it if any slow hand clapping is replaced by ‘Giving it Laldy’ and celebrations.
She will be missed by many. Our thoughts go out to all her family and friends at this sad and difficult time.
