The Scottish Government has confirmed today, Tuesday 25 August that face coverings will now be mandatory on school transport for all children over the age of five.
Speaking at today’s daily briefing, the First Minister confirmed that coverings must now be worn for all adults and children while on dedicated school transport – similar to public transport.
Face coverings must now be worn by pupils and staff at secondary schools while on the move in communal areas and corridors, the Scottish Government has also announced.
The new rules will come into effect on Monday, August 31.
