Activities at Blantyre Leisure Centre are set to resume in September, with South Lanarkshire Council now setting out a clear routemap.
Blantyre Leisure Centre fitness classes are set to resume on Monday 14th September 2020 with the indoor gym due to re-open a week later on 21st September. That same day indoor sports courts, like badminton will resume.
Whilst Hamilton Water Palace and Dollan Baths will reopen on 5th October 2020, no date has been given yet for the Blantyre pool. Further stages of SLC route map for Leisure and Culture is being developed of 2nd November onwards.
A few people have messaged us this week about the pool. It is currently expected that the pool in Blantyre Leisure Centre may not reopen until at least November.
Disappointed to hear that the pool will remain closed until November. I was looking forward to getting back in the water this week after the Scottish government gave the okay for pools to reopen from today (31st August).
