A third Blantyre School has been affected by Covid, with an announcement this afternoon that a Staff member at Auchinraith Primary has tested positive.
The School App has released a letter today, Sunday 6th September 2020 from NHS Lanarkshire transcribed below as follows:
“I am writing to inform you that a member of staff within Auchinraith Primary School in Blantyre has tested positive for Covid 19 and is currently self isolating at home.
Others identified as close contacts have been contacted by TEST AND PROTECT and advised to self isolate at home. NHS Lanarkshire is leading the handling of this incident and following the findings of a review over this weekend, the risk to the wider school community has been assessed as low.
There is currently no evidence to suggest there is transmission in the school, which will continue to remain open and fully operational.
Individuals should stay off school or work and get tested if they experience any Covid symptoms, such as a cough, fever, loss of taste or smell, even if they are mild. Information on how to access testing is available on http://www.nhsinform.com
