Carrigan’s Public Bar on Broompark Road is set to re-open again tomorrow Monday 7th September 2020 after covid test results for other staff thankfully came back negative.
We reported yesterday how the bar was closed following the positive covid test of a part time staff member who worked in the public bar. The other 5 staff who were working there this week were tested and have come back negative.
Carrigan’s Public bar will open its doors again on Monday from 12 – 6pm.
Owner John Carrigan will be working personally to give confidence that the bar is a safe. The bar has been temporary moved to the function suite, located at the rear of the building since lockdown was lifted in July.
A spokesperson for Carrigans told us today, “We would like to thank our staff & customers who have worked hard and supported us during these extremely difficult times and would like to reassure everyone that a deep clean is carried out each day along with using our commercial fogging machine. We are confident we have done everything we possibly can to open the public bar back up safely.
The staff member who tested positive has no symptoms now and is feeling fine.
Carrigans will keep you posted when they return to operating normal hours. Please be aware, entrance to the bar is at the rear of the building and has separate toilets. Customers using the bar are separated completely from the restaurant.
Carrigans Restaurant is operating as normal and unaffected by this weeks events.
