Visiting Other Homes: Exceptions

From tomorrow, Wednesday 23rd September 2020 we can’t go into other people’s homes in Scotland. But there are exceptions to this.

Seeing some questions about this online, we thought we’d clarify the position. As stated today by the Scottish Government, the ban on visiting other homes will NOT apply to:

  1. People who are living alone
  2. People who formed extended households
  3. Couples who don’t live together
  4. Grandparents who provide informal childcare and
  5. Tradespeople

These people WILL be permitted to visit others indoors.
