The Scottish Government aim to give families more certainty with an announcement due this week about a possible return to school date for pupils.
Whilst it’s not thought pupils will return to school anytime soon, its hoped the current uncertainty can be removed with a potential date given, allowing parents and teachers to be able to plan ahead.
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon will meet with other MSPs early this week and acting on latest health advice, an announcement is expected on Tuesday 2nd February. Her address with include an update on the country’s lockdown and IF any changes are being made to current restrictions in place.
As it stands, with the lockdown continuing, pupils will continue to be off until at least the middle of February.
