Ten years on, we remember tonight the life of Blantyre teenager Reamonn Gormley.
Today, 1st February 2021, is the 10th anniversary of when his young life was tragically taken at the age of just 19. A victim of crime, he was an avid Celtic supporter, kind, gentle and popular.
His passing shocked the entire community and to this day he is fondly remembered by many people well beyond his circle of family and friends.
A keen volunteer, he had travelled to Thailand during his gap year, where notably he taught Thai children English by singing them Celtic songs. He was always thinking of others and his memory lives on strongly within Blantyre’s entire community.
Rest in Peace Reamonn. “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”
